Summary
This major release improves the user experience on the mobile app and web tools. We have changed the way data syncs from the server to the phone (primarily photos) to support a faster experience and resolve some critical issues where users were stuck on the app loading page. (resolves “stuck on S logo”)
Mobile
The camera tool is now faster between photos and saves photos to a user session. This means the user can close the app, launch the camera again and continue where they left off. This resolves the issue of photos “disappearing”.
Users can decide to sync photos immediately or later. Syncing photos prevents the user from performing any other activity and is recommended to sync only when the user has a strong internet connection (WiFi, 5G, etc)
Photos that have not been synced will display a cloud icon indicating they are waiting to be synced.
The Photos page has a new sync icon to upload/download photos. (Recommended to use when internet connection is strong)
Daily Reports have been improved and confirmed working with the update to Photos.
Daily Reports has a sync icon to upload/download daily report entries.
Usernames will now work regardless of casing. (this resolves the password failure on mobile apps)
Desktop
Files have been improved to support sorting of files and folders
Files layout has been updated to show the file/folder explorer on the right side in addition to the existing left side navigation
Files now support reading email files and icons work across files with and without the extension in the file name
File links now support privacy
File drag and drop now supports multiple items
Daily Report email distribution is now working on desktop
Drawings view is now full-screen, supports left/right arrow navigation, and zoom/pan with mouse control only
Drawings now have a “Plan Set” tab to support viewing drawings in the context of an uploaded plan set
Drawings now support editing drawing number, title, discipline, etc. during the review process and in the register
Drawings review/extraction process has been optimized to mitigate performance issues
Drawing Plan Sets with less than 5 pages are now supported
Specification editing has been improved to support revision editing and sorting
Specification viewing is now a full screen experience
Weather has been fixed to support AQI
Photos are now displayed in a lightbox to support viewing multiple photos in a single session
Photo page performance has been improved
Photo upload limit has been changed from 20 to 100
Project dashboard now shows city, state, zip
Fixed Company Address page to show correct list of company addresses
Known Issues
Updates to the issues below are scheduled for an upcoming release
Photos page is missing selection for download, export, and emailing
Photo thumbnails are missing on mobile when selecting “Later” as the sync option
Mobile directory does not have a sync option
Mobile project list does not have a sync option (work-around: sign out/sign in)
Air Quality Reports may still return unavailable
Completing daily reports on mobile with email distribution results in an error
Daily report PDF does not display photos and possibly other sections
